Finfolio is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a secure experience for our users worldwide. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled within Finfolio: The Finance Manager, designed with global privacy standards in mind, including GDPR and CCPA compliance.

1. Data sovereignty & collection

• Personal Financial Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit your financial records, bank credentials, investment portfolios, or scanned documents to any external servers.
• Local Storage: All data you input — including bill details, insurance premiums, and investment tracking — is stored locally on your device using industry-standard encryption.
• iCloud Integration: If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored within your personal Apple iCloud account, protected by Apple's end-to-end encryption. We have no access to your iCloud containers.

2. AI document processing (OCR)

All image processing and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) are performed on-device. Images of receipts or documents are processed using local hardware acceleration — no document images or extracted text data are uploaded to our servers or third-party AI providers.

3. Location services

The "Location-Based Reminders" feature requires access to your device's location services (GPS). This data is used solely to trigger local notifications when you enter or exit a specific geographic area. Your location history is never recorded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third-party advertisers.

4. Biometric security

Finfolio supports Face ID and Touch ID for local authentication. We do not have access to your biometric data. Authentication is handled entirely by the iOS Secure Enclave.

5. Global privacy rights (GDPR/CCPA)

• Right to Access/Delete: Since we do not store your data on our servers, you have full control. You can view or delete your data at any time by removing it from the app or deleting the application itself.
• Data Portability: You can export your financial records directly from the app for your own use.

6. Third-party analytics

To improve the app, we may use standard, anonymized App Store analytics provided by Apple. This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII) and helps us understand app crashes and performance metrics.

7. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in global regulations. We will notify you of any significant changes via an in-app notice.
