Urology OT Register

Privacy Policy

Your patients' records stay on your device and in your own iCloud. The developer runs no servers that receive patient data, cannot see your records, and uses no advertising, analytics or tracking. No account with us is required.

1. Who the app is for

Urology OT Register is an operation logbook, DJ stent tracker and discharge-summary tool for urologists. It is intended only for registered medical practitioners. As the treating surgeon or hospital you decide what patient information to record and remain responsible for it, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. Information you enter

Patient details (name, hospital number, age, sex, phone number), diagnoses, operation notes and findings, complications and outcomes, implants, investigations, photos, videos and scanned reports, discharge summaries, consent forms, OT schedules and reminders, DJ stent details, Ayushman (PMJAY) claim information, WHO checklist entries, department and logbook reports; and your own profile (name, qualifications, hospital, logo).

3. Where it is stored

On your device: in the app's private storage, protected by iOS data protection and the optional Face ID / passcode lock in the app.
In your iCloud (optional): backups and sync go to your own private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit, governed by Apple's privacy policy. The developer cannot read them.
Team Sharing (optional): if you join a team, the records you choose to share are exchanged with your team members through Apple's iCloud servers using a team code you control. The developer does not access or analyse this data. You can leave a team at any time.
Files you export: PDFs, reports, logbooks and backup files go only where you choose to send them (for example WhatsApp, email or Files).

4. Device permissions

All permissions are optional and are used only for the feature you choose. You can change them at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Widgets, Siri and the Watch app

The Home Screen widget, Siri shortcuts and the Apple Watch app show summaries such as today's OT list and reminders. This information is kept in a container on your own devices and is not shared with third parties.

6. Crash reports

Diagnostic reports provided by Apple (MetricKit) are kept inside the app. They contain no patient information and leave your device only if you choose to send them to us from Settings.

7. Advertising, analytics and tracking

The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell, rent or share personal data.

8. Ratings

The app may occasionally show Apple's own rating window. Apple handles any rating or review you choose to give.

9. Retention and deletion

Records stay until you delete them. Deleting a record, or the app, removes it from your device; iCloud copies can be removed in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage. Sample (demo) patients included for trying the app are fictional and can be removed in one tap.

10. Patients' requests

Patients who wish to access, correct or erase their information should contact their treating surgeon or hospital, who controls the records in the app.

11. Children

The app is intended for medical professionals and is not directed at children. Records of paediatric patients are entered by their treating doctors.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The "Last Updated" date above shows the latest version.
